Hello again from the HEC staff! We are well into spring and some of us will be celebrating spring with Easter, eggs, bunnies, and baskets and with this month’s newsflash HEC email. We hope that the Texas Reading First HEC can look forward to these emails to provide information about HEC opportunities and seminars, news about members and institutions, and new resources and links that we add to HEC Online.

Erica, Lisa, and Marty are making the rounds and trying to visit as many campuses and HEC faculty members as we can during the month of April. We hope to be around your way soon. Contact one of us if there is something special going on or someone you would like us to meet or something we can do for you during this time and we will schedule the time.
Reminder: The next HEC seminar is schedule for May 27-28 in Austin. Heather will be back to present a pre-seminar symposium on Wednesday, May 26 on LETRS. We are also having some of the presenters from the University of Houston and the Children’s Learning Institute present three of the latest comprehension modules during this pre-seminar symposium. Watch for more information!
Save the date! For the November  3rd and 4th Fall HEC Seminar 2009 in the Dallas/FW/Arlington area. Special presenters are Dr. Randi O’Connor and Dr. Freddie Hiebert among many other exciting presenters and sessions.
